Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU) invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced professionals to fill the following academic and clinical positions in the School of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences. All positions are on a full-time basis.

9. LECTURER – MIDWIFERY
Job Purpose:
To deliver teaching, clinical instruction, and supervision in Midwifery, and to promote safe, evidence-based maternal and neonatal care in line with approved curricula and professional standards.

Key responsibilities:
Deliver teaching and learning in Midwifery at Bachelor of Science and Diploma levels in accordance with approved curricula and academic standards.Job search platform

Supervise and support students during midwifery clinical placements to ensure safe practice and attainment of required competencies.

Develop, administer, and mark assessments and examinations, and provide academic mentorship to students.

Participate in curriculum development, academic meetings, and quality assurance activities related to Midwifery education.

Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 Certificate with five credits including English, Mathematics, and Science.

BSc in Midwifery or related discipline.

Master’s Degree in Midwifery and Women’s Health.

Minimum three (3) years teaching experience.

NMCZ registration and ZAQA clearance.

Demonstrated competence in Midwifery Nursing practice and teaching.

Effective communication and presentation skills.

High standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

Ability to mentor, guide, and support students academically and clinically.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary academic and clinical team.

Good organisational and time management skills.

Demonstrated involvement in research activities and/or contribution to scholarly publications will be an added advantage.
