Reporting to the Senior Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations from the centralized control room ensuring operations, safety and housekeeping standards and parameters set by the Senior Shift Supervisor are met or exceeded.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

• Production targets are met or exceeded.
• Safety compliance in all areas of the operation.
• Training systems compliance.
• Environmental System compliance.
• Effective monitoring, control and operation of the fixed plant from the centralized control room.
• Ability to understand, analyze and interpret Advanced Process Control (APC) systems and Trends.
• Continuous improvement.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Full Grade 12 High School Certificate.
• Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering/Production Management or any other related field with 2 years’ experience.
• Ability to show initiative and have good interpersonal skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical.
• Good communication skills in the English language and comprehension.
• Must be willing to comply with LCM safe working practices and standards.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the Control Room operations, preferably in PCS7 and an added advantage.
