We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of OBC / Vehicle Tracking Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our vehicle fleet, while providing exceptional support to our drivers and operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize GPS systems to track vehicle locations and monitor driver performance in real-time.
• Ensure strict adherence to company regulations and policies by drivers, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Identify and respond to on-road exceptions, providing immediate remedial action to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate and respond to emergency situations, liaising with drivers, operations personnel, and management as required.
• Develop and present comprehensive daily management reports, providing insights and recommendations to optimize fleet performance.
• Foster strong relationships with drivers, operations personnel, and management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Educational Background: CILT Diploma or University degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a similar field and position.
• Certifications: Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient IT skills, with experience in GPS tracking systems (Mix-Telematics or Geotab preferred).
  • Strong geographic knowledge of the SADC region, with a good understanding of road transport networks and regulations.
  • Road transport background preferred, with experience in logistics or a related field.
