Job Description
LEGAL COUNSEL AND BOARD SECRETARY
JOB PURPOSE
To Manage all legal matters and provide secretarial services to the Board of Directors in order to safeguard the interest of the Authority.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) Provides effectively legal services in order to ensure compliance with the law.
(b) Provides timely secretarial services to the Board in order to facilitate the conduct of board business.
(c) Undertakes timely, the review and preparation of business contracts and other legal documents in order to ensure compliance and safeguard the interests of the Authority.
(d) Prepares timely, the Unit budget in order to facilitate acquisition of resources.
(e) Develops periodically, the work plans in order to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
(a) School Certificate or its equivalent
(b) Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws
Advocate of the High Court of Zambia
(c) Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
Eight (8) years relevant experience, two (2) of which should be at management level.
Must be a member of the Law Association of Zambia.
