NLCP has an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager – Roads & Buildings to support the overall NLCP works and maintenance operations, including building construction.
The role will support organisational maintenance regimes. S/he will have leadership skills and be analytical and resourceful in managing the heavy equipment and team required to maintain and construct road infrastructure for the NLCP operations, as well as other maintenance tasks such as building repairs and maintenance.

Reporting to: Resident Engineer
Works closely with: Workshop Manager
Location: North Luangwa National Park; accommodation provided
Salary: Competitive based on qualifications + experience
Start date: As soon as possible
Purpose:
- Coordinate and oversee construction and general maintenance as well as road construction and maintenance activities within the North Luangwa Landscape (1,500km of roads, heavy machinery utilised in road maintenance).
- Supervise an efficient team to support their growth and development.
- Implement standardised operating procedures (SOPs), including waste management, Occupational Health and Safety, and associated risk mitigation.
- Provide regular reports to the NLCP Resident Engineer.
- Effectively manage the resources and equipment allocated for roads and general maintenance.
- Supervise carpentry activities, plumbing, and tool management.
- Handle stock management and conduct monthly fuel consumption analysis in collaboration with the Resident Engineer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant diploma in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- 3 years of practical work experience, preferably in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in road construction.
- Strong knowledge of building construction and maintenance.
- Spoken Bemba.

- Ability and willingness to work in a rural setting, in a very remote area with limited connectivity.

- Ability to adhere to work ethics.
