BOILER OPERATOR
Food Manufacturing/Production, Lusaka, Zambia
Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of boiler systems. Ensure that boilers function efficiently to provide steam or hot water for heating, production processes, and other industrial applications. This role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted boiler operation.

Job Description
Maintaining and repairing boiler equipment and all associated components.
Regularly testing boiler water and making necessary adjustments to chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.
Keeping detailed records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs
Ensuring compliance with state and local safety regulations and guidelines
Training and overseeing subordinates in proper operation, safety protocols, and maintenance work.
Managing the fuel inventory and other consumables necessary for boiler operation

Candidate Specification
Experience: 2 years plus
Education Level: Certificate Level
Qualifications: Certification in boiler operation and maintenance is advantageous
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Comprehensive understanding of boiler systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Skills To: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
Other Requirements: Previous experience as a Boiler Operator or in a related role is preferred
