Position: Investment Manager

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

We are looking for a highly motivated Investment Manager to join our Lusaka office. The ideal candidate will have deep ties to Zambia or Southeast Africa and a proven track record of managing impactful investments. We are committed to diversity and strongly encourage female candidates to apply.

Key Responsibilities

As an Investment Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the companies we invest in by:

• Conducting comprehensive analysis of potential investment opportunities and identifying those with strong value creation and impact potential.
• Managing and monitoring the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with Inside’s disciplined, transparent, and sustainable approach.
• Developing and implementing value creation strategies that are both profitable and socially responsible, driving sustainable growth across our portfolio.
• Ensuring portfolio companies adhere to strong ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, in line with our mission to create value through values.
• Collaborating closely with senior management and stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and foster autonomous, long-term growth for portfolio companies.

• A strong understanding of local and regional market dynamics.
• Good analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Experience in formulating investment strategies and overseeing operational management across diverse sectors.
• Ability to make sound, data-driven investment decisions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trust-based relationships.
• Broad industry knowledge and a strategic mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in the financial sector within the African market, preferably in investment management, private equity or venture capital.
