Armaguard Security Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public for the following vacant positions:

1) Assistant Accountant – Revenue

The Assistant Accountant – Revenue will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Assist to ensure that billing of all customers is complete and reconciliation between the General Ledger and billing system is done and submitted to the Finance Director
  • Assist to ensure all billed customers are at all times fully reconciled and all customer receipts are posted in the accounting system
  • Assist in circulating account statements to all said customers and ensure they acknowledge the statements
  • Assist in engaging the customers to explore the possibility of sending them electronic invoices and firmly agreed payment date
  • Together with the entire revenue team and with input from Finance Manager, endeavour to design a repeatable billing process that starts at specific appointed date and closes at a given date i.e Billing to be done by 7th day of the subsequent month
  • Assist in liaising with Debt Collection that a collection of above 80% is achieved on customers on a monthly basis
  • Assist in designing a process that details points for formally reminding customers are clear and that this is followed to ensure company’s cash flow stability is shielded
  • Aspire and document monthly billing process improvement with input of Finance Manager
  • Assist in submitting monthly sales report as per provided template and ensure report reconciles with sales per General Ledger
  • To carry out any other duties as may be assigned to you by Executive Management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits or better in Mathematics and English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a diverse business environment.
  • Professional accounting certifications (e.g., ZICA, CIMA, and ACCA) are a plus.
  • Experience in financial and management accounting
  • A member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, Sage 200 Evolution will be an added advantage
