Job Description
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust (GART) is a Public-Private Research Institution involved in Applied and Adaptive Research.
GART wishes to invite applications for the following vacant position:
ASSISTANT FARM MANAGER
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum qualification of a Degree in Agricultural Sciences or equivalent from a reputable institution.
- 5 years’ experience in commercial production of high-value crops (especially soybeans, wheat potatoes), seed production, Aquaculture, dairy and small holder livestock.
- Ability to work closely with the farm manager and other senior managers to develop long-term strategies and plans.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in MS office programs.
- Ability to develop and manage a team.
- Ability to engage, work closely and build strong rapport with stakeholders in the agribusiness sector.
- Must have a valid driving licence.
- Must be a registered member of the Agriculture Institute Zambia (AIZ)
