Position Available:
Unicaf University Zambia is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistants to join our dynamic Medical and Nursing departments. The ideal candidates will provide essential support in the daily operations of our laboratories, ensuring that students have the resources and guidance they need for successful hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, setup, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials
for practical sessions. - Provide technical support to faculty and students during lab sessions, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, inventory, and equipment usage.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.
- Help manage the cleanliness, organisation, and functionality of the lab space.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualification in a relevant field (Medical Sciences, Nursing, Laboratory Technology, or related disciplines) will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in an academic or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
