Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a seasoned Field Coordinator who is highly skilled in logistics to join a team of enthusiastic designers, researchers and changemakers from around the world. Ideally you are someone that isn’t afraid to make a difference. This position is focused on coordinating and overseeing research activities and field operations related to the project.

What you will be doing:
Coordination.

Co-lead field logistics preparation and execution including communicating with local leaders via phone, email or on site to schedule meetings before field visits
Contact community leaders, government officials, village chiefs and other stakeholders to secure meetings with them
Ensure effective communication and coordination with the design team to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure alignment
Helping and coordinating with the design team on the right execution of the field preparation including printing materials, food, accommodation, transportation and driver(s) booking, etc.
Maintain and improve logistic materials including, fieldwork plan, schedule, contact list, fieldwork best practices for induction
Assist in running and improving day-to-day operations in the field, to ensure that the fieldwork team can implement their work smoothly
Monitor field operations and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that arise
Support the design team on finance-related tasks during fieldwork
Support the design team on general operations for a smooth and efficient field operation, before, during and after the project
Collaborate with the design team to share updates, exchange ideas, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the fieldwork activities
Requirements
The type of experience that we are looking for:
At least 2 years work experience in research and/or fieldwork logistics in the WASH sector
A Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in International Development, WASH, Public Administration, or other related fields
High proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking
High proficiency in Nyanja and Lenje speaking
Skilled using project management tools like Google Suite or Asana
BONUS POINTS if you are experienced in:
working in the social innovation and consultancy work
administration and/or operation related task

Work Timeline
Available for 6 months, with full-time engagement during active fieldwork periods; Required for 10 weeks of active fieldwork, with an additional week before each fieldwork for preparation.
