JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Information Technology Coordinator, the Application Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, development and deployment of ICT systems in order to facilitate digital transformation and smooth operations of the Institute.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Undertakes effectively the Installation of software system patches and updates, and anti-virus in order to protect the Institute’s computers hardware and software;
• Undertakes effectively the maintenance of the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network in order to ensure availability, safety and reliability;
• Undertakes effectively the setup and maintenance of servers in order to ensure that applications are running efficiently;
• Undertakes effectively development and installations of software application systems in order to meet user requirements;
• Undertakes timely maintenance of backups systems and disaster recovery strategies in order to ensure business continuity;
• Undertakes effectively ICT Capacity building in users in order to enhance utilisation of ICT services;
• Undertakes effectively the maintenance of the website and online platforms in order to facilitate uploading of content;
• Undertakes the documentation of hardware and software in order to provide a record and facilitate maintenance;
• Undertakes effectively provision of ICT technical support services in order resolve computer issues.
• Attends relevant Adhoc Committees of the Institute as directed.
• Undertakes effectively update of information in accounting software and eLearning portal

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate, including English and Mathematics;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent;
• Member of ICTAZ;
• 1 year work experience.
