We are looking to recruit a Flour Warehouse Assistant for our client in the Milling Industry to be responsible for supporting the warehouse team to ensure warehousing, dispatching goes smoothly and that products received /released from assigned warehouse and those loaded/offloaded onto/off delivery vehicles are accurate in number and quantities. This role is busy and hands on which requires excellent attention for detail whilst working at a fast pace. The job will include manual handling duties, and therefore you must be able to conduct manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure to manage the safe and timely dispatch of customers ordered products.
  • Maintain accurate stock reconciliations of both received/released products at the assigned location.
  • To assist other workers in loading and unloading goods.
  • To assist in receiving goods inwards, check and inspect goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
  • To carry out regular stock takes and quality control.
  • To pick and pack orders to be despatched to customer.
  • To assist with accurately logging of goods inwards and dispatched onto the computer stock management system.
  • To ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • To contribute actively as a member of the warehouse staff team, working towards developing and improving our services and operations.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role as requested by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • A full grade (12) School Certificate,
  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supply
  • At least (3) years ‘previous work experience in such a similar role and should be with excellent inventory management skills.
