Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of an Electrician. The position reports to the Electrical Foreman and operates within the Farm area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Electrical maintenance, repairs and to attend to Electrical breakdowns effectively and efficiently.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To carry out electrical maintenance and repairs on all Nanga Farms electrical apparatus including variable speed drives, generators, transformers, motors, motor control centres, pivots, borehole pumps, domestic house installation and powerlines.
- Excavating cable trenches and laying of cables
- Maintenance and installation of Air conditioners, computers, servers, Handheld radios, Lighting systems and portable Electrical tools.
- Switching on and off of generator sets whenever there is ZESCO power interruption.
- follow all electrical safety guidelines
- Ensure compliance with Illovo codes and regulations.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of grade 12 certificate
- Diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized institution
- Minimum of (2) two years proven electrical work experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety drawings, tools, and equipment.
- Member of EIZ
