ABOUT HOME SCOUT:
Home Scout is an innovative real estate platform in Zambia, leveraging modern technologies to streamline the renting, buying, and selling of properties. Through our website and app, our mission is to become Zambia’s most comprehensive, efficient, and reliable platform for the search for all real estate needs, including houses, apartments, flats, offices, and commercial properties. As we prepare for our company launch, we are seeking two enthusiastic Social Media Interns to join our marketing team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Social Media Intern at Home Scout, you will play a crucial role in executing our social media strategy and managing our social media accounts in line with our company brand. You will work closely with the marketing team to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and contribute to our overall marketing goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Support the design of our social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
Conduct research on real estate market trends and data in Zambia, for the purpose of social media content creation
– Create, publish and share engaging social media content (e.g. text, photos, videos) in line with our social media plan and guidelines
– Engage and communicate with our social media followers, responding to posts and queries promptly and professionally.
– Implement strategies such as promotions, adverts, campaigns and competitions, to boost brand awareness
– Network and collaborate with related businesses and influencers for cross-promotion campaigns
Monitor our social media traffic, trends, and audience preferences to optimise content
– Stay current with social media marketing technologies, trends, and tools.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with the overall marketing strategy

REQUIREMENTS:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or current student in Marketing (Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Marketing)
– In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
– Awareness of the latest social media trends and technologies.
– Experience in creating social media content (text, image, video) for business purposes
– Proficiency in managing social media accounts for businesses
– Strong design skills and creativity
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Attention to detail
– Computer proficiency (Including Microsoft Word and Excel)
– Team player, enthusiastic, and reliable

GOOD TO HAVE:
– Experience using Canva or similar design tools
– Access to a personal computer
