Senior Operations  and Sales Executive
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Job Summary:
The Senior Operations and Sales Executive will oversee the day-to-day operations of the car rental business, ensuring optimal performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Operations and Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. These roles require proactive individuals with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the car rental industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the car rental business.
  • Ensure efficient fleet management, including maintenance, repairs, and vehicle availability.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service.

Staff Management:

  • Lead, train, and supervise the operations team, including customer service representatives, drivers, and maintenance staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure staff adherence to company policies and standards.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues promptly.
  • Monitor and improve customer service standards and practices.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and report on key operational metrics.
  • Implement strategies to optimize revenue and reduce operational costs.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and achieve business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operations with overall business strategy.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees, customers, and assets.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure operational and safety standards are met.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Present and promote car rental services to potential clients, demonstrating the benefits and features of our offerings.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up.

Market Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Provide feedback to management on market conditions and suggest strategies for business growth.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and industry events to stay updated on market developments.

Sales Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts and activity reports
  • Track and report on sales performance, including leads, opportunities, and closed deals.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and operations management, preferably in the car rental or automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
