CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MATRONS & COUNSELLORS ON THE (CHAZ) SUSTAINING AND IMPROVING THE GAINS FOR HIV/AIDS AND TUBERCULOSIS GC7 GRANT
Background
The Expanded Church Response (ECR) is a local Faith Based Organization established in 2003 with the mission to Empower the Church for a Comprehensive, Coordinated Development response thereby contributing to the physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness of individuals, families and communities in Zambia and beyond. ECR is one of the Lead Recipients (LRs) to the Global Fund grant, through the Churches Association of Zambia (CHAZ) under the Sustaining and Improving the Gains for HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis GC7 Grant.
ECR is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions in the selected districts mentioned below.
2.0 Matron Assignment Description and Duties:
The Matron will ensure that every Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) disclosure case is handled with at most care and confidentiality and ensure that ECR referral systems are followed and adhered to, while ensuring that the victims receive effective care.
Specific duties are as outlined below;
To manage all administrative duties of the safe house
To supervise all safe house staff
Contribute to the development of a comprehensive referral network of prevention and post violence care i.e. medical, legal, social referrals
Must attend to all disclosure cases following all referral procedures until cases
are satisfactorily closed or handed over to the right care/service provider.
Offer first hand counseling services and care to clients upon disclosure.
Link survivors to established referral facilities such as health care centers and police victim support units.
Report weekly activities and obtain necessary support from the M&E officer at ECR
Ensure reporting of success stories on a quarterly basis
Adhere to the ECR child safeguarding and child protection policy.
Keep records/documentation of complete referrals made on correct forms and submit the same to the ECR M&E officer Submit a monthly narrative report using ECR approved template for all the cases.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in social work or related field and able to read and understand English and the local language spoken in the area of implementation.
Must also have a certificate in psychosocial counseling and registered with the Zambia Counseling Counsel
Resides in any one of the districts mentioned above
Must be Familiar with the administrative structures and knowledge of who comprises the key stakeholders in a community
Must Demonstrate leadership and counseling skills
Must have good communication skills and familiar with local languages
Must show commitment and passion for working with children/victims of GBV
Must be endorsed by a trusted institution in the community, which may include a church, a traditional leader or a relevant GRZ ministry.
2.1 Counselor Assignment Description and Duties:
Grade 12 certificate and able to read and understand English and the local language spoken in the area of implementation
Must also have a certificate in psychosocial counseling and registered with the Zambia Counseling Counsel
