Job Description: We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage our financial records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and oversee our receivables and payables. This role requires a self-starter with a strong background in accounting, capable of meeting KPIs and delivering accurate financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Management: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
- Receivables and Payables Management: Oversee the accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators related to financial operations.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as required to support the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
- A Member of ZICA, ACCA or CIMA level II or equivalent
- Experience with ERP systems is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong understanding of Zambian tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.
