JOB PURPOSE:
At Chengelo we have a vision to not only develop a first class SEN provision in our own school but to also set up a programme to train and equip others to meet a huge need in this area in Zambia.
We are looking for an outstanding and strategic practitioner to lead the SEN provision in the school; to create, deliver and oversee the effective implementation of a SEN framework into teaching and in the fullness of time develop a training programme for those with a heart for students with special educational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Qualified teacher status is essential for this role.
Experience, knowledge and understanding of SEN within a school setting.
An in-depth knowledge of diagnostic tools, analysis of results, setting IEP’s and targets and strategies of support.
An understanding of recent developments in SEN including meeting the needs of those with learning disabilities.
Experience of strategic leadership.
Experience working with/ teaching diverse groups/ diverse students
Experience of staff training.
