EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

A leading Agricultural company is inviting applications from a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the following vacant position under its establishment.

Title: Officer, Field Production (1) – Southern Province

Reporting To: Senior Manager, Production

Job Description

The main responsibility of the Officer, Field Production is to produce high quality seeds for the organization through an out-grower scheme in line with set standards as well as set company procedures.

Main Duties will include:

  • Grower recruitment (Identify and recruit the best seed growers)
  • Field Inspections (Carrying out timely and regular inspections to farmers fields from planting up to harvesting)
  • Monitor Management of fields for growers and crop growth to ensure adherence to the seed production laid-down procedures
  • Post Harvest seed quality inspection
  • Carry out full defect test on all seed lots
  • Seed Crop Aggregation
  • Collaborate with research institutions, extension services, and other stakeholders to stay updated on seed technology and best practices
  • Regulatory Compliance

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

To be considered you will need:

Experience: Two (2) years’ work experience

Qualifications: Diploma in Agronomy or relevant field

Training: Certificate in Seed Inspection
