EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – PRINCIPAL OR LEAD ENGINEER

We are looking for a Principal or Lead Engineer to join our team in Zambia.

Minimum requirements:

• BEng or BSc Civil Engineering Degree
• MSc Eng (advantageous)
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia and registered with the Engineering Registration Board
• More than 15 years’ experience in a civil engineering industry, with mining experience as an advantage. Experience in handling large civil/water/power/infrastructure/mining projects

The role requires:

• Good project management skills
• Experience in managing people and/or medium sized teams
• Good contract law experience (FIDIC etc.)
• Managing of project finances
• Travel within Zambia and to project locations from time to time
• Networking and managing business development initiatives as the person will be expected to procure new projects
• Technical work on projects as well as review of work of others in a mentoring role
• A good command of the English language
