And also undertakes multi-disciplinary engineering and other project works in support of the Government building and road construction sector and international mining and construction industries.
Olibul Investments Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public for the following vacant position:
Auto Electrician
Purpose:
To carry out skilled auto mechanic engineering repairing, installation and preventive maintenance works in order to ensure mobile equipment availability at all time
Main duties:
(a) Carries out inspections and testing mobile equipment/vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters in order to keep equipment available for use.
(b) Receives work instructions, work dockets and listens to operator complaints, conducts inspections, repairs engine failures, repairs mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replaces parts and components as well as repairing body damage in order to maintain mobile equipment functional.
(c) Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems in order to meet the required operating standard of the mobile equipment.
(d) Cleans, washes and paints mobile equipment in order to maintain good vehicle appearance.
(e) Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs for future planning and references.
(f) Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calls for repairs.
(g) Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; evaluating service and parts options, placing orders and verifies receipt so as to contain costs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Full Craft Certificate in Auto electrical/mechanics or its equivalent
- 2 years’ work experience in relevant field
- Experience with maintenance of HER will be an added advantage
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
