JOB ADVERT – METAL FABRICATOR

Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Metal Fabricator. The role reports to the Maintenance Foreman and will be based in Siavonga.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Metal Fabricator will be responsible supporting the maintenance and operational aspects of the facility. He/she will work closely with the Plant Engineer to ensure the efficient production while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating a variety of metal fabrication machinery and tools, such as welding equipment and grinders.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components to create finished products.
• Welding and fabricating metal parts using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding).
• Conducting quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of finished products.
• Performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Upholding safety standards and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE).
• Advanced Certificate in Metal Fabrication with at least (3) work experience.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and welding processes.
• Experience with various types of metal, including steel and aluminium.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to operate metal fabrication machinery and tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
