PEAS Zambia does this through increased access to affordable, quality, and sustainable schools in partnership with the Zambian government through the Ministry of Education (MoE).

PEAS Zambia is looking for a suitably qualified candidate for the position of SCHOOL HEADTEACHER.

JOB PURPOSE: To provide effective, dynamic, and inspirational leadership in order to enable PEAS school to fulfil its agreed education outcomes.

• Appropriate attitudes to the use of authority and maintaining discipline with students and staff members.
• Knowledge of leadership principles and practices, gained through work experience and formal education.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 O’ levels including English and merit in the Teaching subject.
• Degree in Education (Secondary teaching)
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
• minimum 3 years of leadership: head teacher or deputy
• Teaching Council of Zambia registration
• A secure knowledge and understanding of the subject area curriculum and related pedagogy.
• 3 years’ Experience working in the education sector in Zambia at the secondary level as the HoD or Deputy Head Teacher
• Demonstrated ability to lead others and offer academic direction in the school.
• PEAS value aligned.
• Championing the PEAS Child Protection policy
• Good communication and presentation skills
• must be above 35 and below 50 years.

Desired Requirements:

• Post Graduate Training in Educational Administration, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Experience developing and enriching curriculum.
