Job Description


The Anti-Corruption Commission whose mission is to effectively prevent and combat corruption in order to promote integrity, transparency and accountability for sustainable development in Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

LEGAL AND PROSECUTIONS OFFICER – [4] : CHOMA [1]; LUSAKA [3]

a) Overall Responsibility

To undertake the provision of legal services and prosecution of corruption cases in order to facilitate dispensation of justice and ensure that the Commission operates within the Law.

 

 

b) Principal accountabilities

To undertake effectively legal representation for the Commission in order to safeguard its interests,

  • To undertake effectively provision of legal advice/opinion in order to ensure that the operations of the Commission are within the Law;
  • To undertake effectively prosecution of corruption and related cases in order to facilitate dispensation of justice;
  • To undertake effectively the drafting and review of legal documents in order to safe guard the interests of the Commission;
  • To undertake effectively preparation of lease agreements, contracts and assignment deeds in order to secure properties of the Commission.

c) Qualifications

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate

d) Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
  • Member of the Law Association of Zambia
  • Advocate of the High Court of Zambia

e) Communication Skills

Written skills; ability to write technical and analytical reports

Oral Skills: ability to communicate effectively in English
