Job Description
An Earthworks and Mining Company based in Ndola invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated and experienced Zambian Nationals to fill the position of Human Resource Officer.
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for the Human Resource and Administrative management systems and processes of the company. The HRO participates in the development of policies and ensure their timely implementation, coordinates all human resource activities and ensures timely provision of administrative support services to facilitate the smooth operations of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
Assist with performance management procedures.
Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
To compile and provide input data for payroll exercise.
Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best HR practices.
Any other duties as assigned by The Directors
REQUIREMENTS
Accredited with the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
Full Grade 12 Certificate
A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business/Public Administration, or related field.
At least 5-10 years+ relevant HR work experience in a busy organization.
Conversant with the labour laws of Zambia.
Good management and negotiating skills.
Ability to work independently.
Attention to detail to ensure the highest accuracy
Strong numerical skills & analytical mind
Extremely vigilant and innovative skills and abilities
Must be a good team player.
Multi-skilled and hardworking, with a meticulous and efficient work ethic
Ability to follow processes and procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office & ability to learn how to use specialist software if need arises.
Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment
