COMPANY PROFILE

Nanga Farms Ltd. Is a large, irrigated Sugarcane Estate situated near Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The Company is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, and its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of Sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of Cattle. The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of: –

POSITION: CLERK (01 POSITION) FIXED TERM

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Clerk in the Engineering Department.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Engineering Department clerical works run efficiently, as well as coordinating and implementing office procedure.

  • Receiving Job requests and opening job cards.
  • Updating records of all maintenance works in an orderly manner.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to provide data and updates related to employee attendance.
  • Keeping of accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed.
  • Ensures that safety regulations and protocols are followed within the workshop.
  • Act as a liaison between workshop staff, management, and customers.
  • Capture and update employee time-offs both manually and electronically effectively and accurately.
  • Efficiently handle the documentation process for employee exits, including terminations and Clearance forms, ensuring they are submitted promptly and with clarity for timely approval.
  • Provide training and orientation to new employees regarding workshop procedures and protocols.
  • Prepare and process paperwork related to equipment maintenance, including invoices, work orders, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of workshop supplies, tools, and spare parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
  • Perform other general duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • One year work experience in a related field is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Safety Health Environment Risk & Quality (SHERQ)
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
