Data Entry Clerks

Responsibilities

• Create excel spreadsheets to track important information
• Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database
• Update customer information in a database
•  Organize existing data in a spreadsheet and graphs
• Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers
• Search for, investigate and analyze information as instructed
•  Input text-based and numerical information from source documents into online systems
• Provide occasional administrative support
• Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically
• Review data for deficiencies or error
• Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry
• Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis
• Type in data quickly and efficiently with a good understanding on Microsoft excel In a database.

Requirements and skills

• Grade 12 School Certificate with Five (5) Credits or better

Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications

• ZICA technician or equivalent
• Proven experience as data entry clerk.
• Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
•  Working knowledge of office equipment
