ABOUT THE POSITION
Dexis partners with Jefferson Solutions, a well-respected government consulting company of the Jefferson Consulting Group, a minority-and woman-owned small business, to seek a Front Office Administrative, Management, and Operational (AMO) Advisor to support the USAID/Zambia Mission in-country.
As the Front Office AMO Advisor, the consultant will be responsible for providing expert administrative support services to the Mission Director (MD) and the Deputy Director (DMD). The consultant will provide support on a variety of complex and sensitive programs, operational, and logistical issues. USAID’s Executive Officer or his/her designee will oversee this position.
The consultant will support the USAID/Zambia Mission in-country for twelve (12) months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert advice and staff support in the administrative management areas, including office services, policies and management, communication resources, and training among others.
- Make recommendations to the EXO and follow up on all management operations to ensure they are carried out properly and within appropriate time limits.
- Exercise good judgment, often under stress and limited time frames, in making recommendations and providing advice on USAID management policies and contracting practices, and when providing technical advice to staff.
- Support event planning for Front Office host events.
- Onboard and train new Front Office staff on key responsibilities.
- Maintain donor and government contract lists.
- Draft DIP notes.
- Support weekly bullets.
- Support and manage travel requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of six years directly related experience.
- Must have a USAID FAC with systems access.
- Must have experience providing in-country support to USAID Missions.
- Excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team.
- Must have familiarity with applications used by USAID including USAID’s Global Acquisition and Assistance System (GLAAS), WebPass, ARIBA, ILMS, and other related software and electronic systems.
- Excellent writing and editing skills are required.
