Job description:

Purpose of the Role:

To ensure care and maintenance of all the survey equipment and organization of the right items in the Survey section and make pit survey duties and procedures under the general guidance of the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures daily care and maintenance of Survey equipment and item
• Checks Instrument setup
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping storeroom neat.
• Protect and preserves survey records against deterioration and damage.
• Undertakes line ranging and line cutting
• Conducts Pit survey duties and procedures.
• Carry out regular Stockpile surveys.
• Regularly Usage of laser Equipment
• Plan reading
• Use of clinometer
• Work independently but maintains the direction from the supervisor
• Other duties as directed by the Supervisor

Experience & Qualifications:

• Grade 12 School Certificate, Credits in English, Sciences and Mathematics Essential
• Minimum of 1 year Surveying experience
• Experience with GPS Controller, levelling staff, tape measure, prism rod and Radios will be an added advantage
