SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Reporting to the Financial Director

Responsibilities

• Maintaining all Sales Reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Reviewing Sales Report data for accuracy and reasonability
• Compiling of weekly Sales Report Pack to Management
• Handling Sales integration between Sales module and the Accounting system
• Preparation of Customer Account reconciliations
• Managing of Customer and Retailer accounts and follow up of unpaid invoices
• Assisting with monthly stock counts and stock reconciliations
• Preparation of Balance Sheet General Ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Assisting with any company tax and/or statutory return submissions
• Handling year-end audit queries from Auditors
• Reconciliation of any Intercompany Customer, Supplier & Loan Accounts
• Any other ad hoc tasks

Skills & Attributes

• Must be computer literate with practical knowledge in M/S Applications i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Must be able to work under pressure and be deadline-driven
• Strong communication skills and able to train subordinates
• Meticulous attention to detail
• High degree of accuracy
• Good mathematical skills

Qualifications

• Full ZICA, ACCA or Degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 years work experience as a Senior Financial Accountant in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
• Proficient in Sage Accounting Software
• Web-based Point-of-Sale Software experience will be advantageous
• Must be computer literate with advanced skills in M/S Applications i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
